Hello! Did you miss me?
I have missed the last two Handmade Mondays because we have finally moved Dad in with us, and things have been hectic to say the least. The move wasn’t helped by the removal men, two of whom were way past pensionable age – one wasn’t able to lift, the other couldn’t bend! You had to laugh or else you would have cried! Anyway, we are now surrounded by boxes, with another load of them in storage until his extension is built, so as you can imagine there hasn’t been much time for crafting.
Things are also changing at Tickled Pink. Amanda and I have gone our seperate ways, as the business just wasn’t working with us so far apart. I am now Tickled Pink Crafts on my own, and Amanda is The Prettiest Thing. I am sure you all wish her luck and will pop along to her Facebook page and support her. Fortunately we remain good friends and will still stock items that the other has made. So, time for a rethink and rejig of the website, logos etc – all very exciting!
Diamond Day was a huge success for me. Have a look at this post to see some of the photos from the day.
And here are a few of the other things we have been up to.
I’m off to link up with all the other Handmade Monday posts now and will be back next week, hopefully with some new things to show you. Have a lovely week!
Reminds me of the time we moved and a removal man put his back out (on his first day back at work after months off). Lovely pics, good luck with the individual businesses x
Lovely pictures – there’s no way she’ll fit in that bucket though! Lol 🙂
wow, sounds like you’ve had a LOT going on! all good though by the sounds of it 🙂
i hope your Dad is settling in well, i bet all concerned are glad that the move is done now even if unpacking isn’t!
an exciting new start for you and Amanda – i’m sure both crafting initiatives will go from strength to strength!
(you were v much missed on handmade monday btw :))
Aww, thank you. xxx
Quite unusual to have removal men that can’t physically do removals 😀
This made me laugh over the removal men and the Konga advert kept coming into my mind, so funny. Hope you get sorted soon
The removal sounds like something form a TV sit-com – as you say, had to laugh or you would be in tear.s Hope your dad settles in well. Good luck to you and Amanda – I know you will both continue to be successful. Good to have you back on HM and hope you have a good week.
Removal story sounds a bit like the old comedy The Plank! Glad you’ve got your Dad moved in and settled with you now, its a big step to take. I love the photos, especially the runied castle, its really atmospheric
The image of your removal men made me smile 🙂 Hope everything is all sorted now and you dad has settled in
Your tale of the removal men made me laugh out loud, made me think of the PG tips monkeys. I’m so glad you’ve got your dad moved.
It’s great to hear Diamond Day was a success. I wish you and Amanda all the best with you businesses, glad to hear your still great friends.
Have a lovely week.
Ali x
Hope that from now on it’s more plain sailing. The removal men sound like a comedy duo!! Your little girl looks like she’s having loads of fun and the doggie with the hair band looks so cute.
Good luck with your new chapter!
Nice to know you and Amanda have remained friends, even though the business bit didn’t work out!
Good luck withthe new venture. Love the photos, looks like you have been busy
Busy busy busy! I love the blue hands (and fur). Can’t see what you’re up to next.
